Susan Rogers: a calling to music
Ramp connects with Susan Rogers, a music production & engineering professor at Berklee whose industry work has included working as a producer, engineer and technician for various artists including Prince and The Bare Naked Ladies.
Rogers says her first calling to a career in music came when she was eight. She saw a picture of the sound engineer on a Sonny and Cher album and for some indecipherable reason decided that was going to be her future. In a Zoom interview from her home in Boston, she talks to Aimie Cronin about what makes a great producer, Prince and the future of music.
