Ant Donovan (Aus)
Ant Donovan’s career in design has taken him on an amazing journey, from flying in a helicopter above the most populated city in the world to riding a hovercraft in the remote wilderness of Australia’s outback. Meeting a rich mixture of fascinating people along the way, these are experiences he could never have imagined as an emerging creative in design school.
Ant began his career at his first ‘real’ job as Art Director at the critically acclaimed photography and culture bible, Black+White magazine. Working alongside some of the worlds best photographers, illustrators and writers was a humbling experience, and one he’ll never forget.
Since then, in a career that has spanned almost 20 years, Ant has worked with a diverse range of organisations and industries; from large-scale corporations, tourism bodies and retail giants, to iconic cultural institutions, not for profits and one-person start-ups. His passion and relentless drive to make work that matters is what gets him out of bed.
Ant will be sharing the highs and lows of his creative journey, the lessons he has learned along the way and the experiences that have shaped his view that if you believe in what you are doing, are determined, curious and work hard, you will find the idea that will make a difference.
