The Design Industry Breakfast is a Spark Festival tradition, and gathers creative presenters, industry professionals, tutors and students together to discuss past and present industry projects and issues.

Guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast supplied by Mavis & Co and hear about speakers’ most recent projects, while Alan Deare of AREA Design, and the man behind our Spark Festival branding, will ask questions of our speakers and bring topical issue to the fore.

Our 2018 panellists include Ant Donovan, an award-winning and innovative creative from Sydney agency Frost*Collective. Ant helps clients find creative, people-centred solutions to difficult brand problems and has played a pivotal role in developing highly creative brand communications for a range of clients, from

A Creative Director on a creative adventure, Emily Woollett loves to create powerful brand stories to engage, resonate and inspire a response. With a passion for helping people and brands unleash their #superawesomeness, Emily has been responsible for developing campaigns and engaging brand stories for some of Australia and the world’s most iconic fashion and lifestyle brands.

We’re thrilled to add two graduate perspectives to the event line-up this year. Jeff Burch now calls New York home while working as the Art Director at Condé Nast in the World Trade Center. His career began at Vogue and GQ in Australia after graduating with a Bachelor of Media Arts in 2004, and he has since worked on projects for the likes of Brioni, Jimmy Choo, Vanity Fair and CDFA, as well as international fashion and culture title ‘W’.

Ryan Delaney landed his dream job in 2011 with major New Zealand fashion brand Federation, straight out of a Bachelor of Media Arts. He has gone on to become a freelance designer and is now the Creative Director and Founder of Overdose.Digital, with offices in four major cities worldwide and over 30 clients.
