The Design Industry Breakfast is a Ramp Festival tradition, and provides an opportunity for creative presenters, industry professionals, tutors and students to connect with each other over a delicious breakfast. Long standing collaborator Alan Deare of AREA Design will ask questions of our presenters about their design ethos, practice with a focus on recent projects.

Our 2021 panellists include Catherine Griffiths who is an Aotearoa New Zealand typographer, designer, artist, educator, curator, writer, publisher, activist and feminist. Katie Kerr who runs her graphic design practice that focusses on the creation of publications, identities and printed materials in the broad field of the cultural sector.  Also from Tāmaki Makaurau/ Auckland They are joined by Tyrone Ohia (Ngāti Pukenga, Ngāi te Rangi) who is the Creative Director and Founder Extended Whānau. He was recently involved in designing the identity for the significant exhibition Toi Tu Toi Ora at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki.
