Hear Me Roar!
Featuring work by Arielle Walker, Deborah Rundle, Natasha Matila-Smith, Serene Timoteo and Salome Tanuvasa, Hear Me Roar! brings together a mixture of female voices through the use of written language and textiles.
Each artist transforms the gendered and traditionally quiet role of textiles, reclaiming her chosen fabric with a voice that demands to be heard, speaking their truths as mothers, daughters, poets, activists and storytellers.
Hear Me Roar! will be held at Weasel Gallery during festival week, so stop by and take a look at this unsubtle and unapologetic exhibition that embraces the broadening notion of what it means to be a woman.
The exhibition runs from July 10 to August 3rd.
