Jeremy Hansen
After failing to get into medical school because of his inability to do chemistry, Jeremy Hansen turned to an English degree and a one-year journalism programme. Now - after stints as a features writer for Metro, as the Hong Kong correspondent for LA entertainment bible Variety, as a television reporter for current affairs programme Frontseat and a producer at Radio New Zealand - Jeremy works as the editor of HOME magazine and is passionate about good design in all places.
And this passion for good design is obvious. Editing HOME since 2005, Jeremy has also co-authored and edited books such as Villa: From Heritage to Contemporary and Modern: New Zealand Homes from 1938 to 1977, immersing himself in design for the past decade.
Jeremy is coming to Spark to share about his experiences in journalism and the design world and to make a case for better design everywhere – from our magazines, to our homes and our cities.
