Monique Jansens' paintings rephrase some of the procedural and conceptual rigours of late Modernism, utilising methods and means characterised by monotony, rhythm and pattern. Her works induce a consonance between the dynamics of Op and the repetitive meter of knitting. Monique will discuss and show images of her work, describing her methodology and dispositions, as well as some aspects of her professional artistic practice.
