Natalie Mankelow

Natalie is a reporter, sometimes chief reporter, at Radio New Zealand and has recently returned from a two year stint as a broadcast journalist at BBC News in London. Two months after returning from her time overseas Natalie was sent to Christchurch to cover the aftermath of the February earthquake for New Zealand's public broadcaster. She will speak of her time there and of how to get the edge when searching for jobs in New Zealand and further afield. While studying at Wintec, Natalie was a recipient of the Nicholas Irwin Hunt (Maori journalists) scholarship and shortly after graduating she was a finalist in the New Zealand Radio Awards 'Best New Broadcaster' category.
