Returning Home
Founding members and principal photographers of FAFSWAG artist collective and Auckland’s Vogue scene – Jermaine Dean and Pati Tyrell have developed an exhibition Returning Home.
This special exhibition will open at Ramp Gallery on day one of the festival as part of celebrating 20 years of Spark Festival and 21 years of Ramp, both institutions in Hamilton’s art scene.
Look out for Jermaine and Pati’s talk at 11am, Tuesday 7 August and their all-levels Vogue Femme workshop and jam session at 3pm, Thursday 9 August.
ANGELA TIATIA
Concurrently opening on Monday night, is a moving image work “Interference” by award-winning Sydney based artist Angela Tiatia in Ramp’s window gallery.
Commissioned by Runway Australian Experimental Art, “Interference” explores the dualities and multiplicities of inference from internal and external forces that shape our daily experiences. Made in collaboration with and in response to Amrita Hepi’s work A Caltex Spectrum, 2018. Performers Jahra Rager, Tyrone Robinson, Sela Vai.
We are proud to host these artists at Ramp Gallery as part of celebrating 20 years of Spark Festival and 21 years of Ramp Gallery —both institutions in Hamilton’s art scene. Come and celebrate with us!
