Sara De Bondt

London-based Belgian graphic designer, Sara De Bondt, has been running her studio since 2003. Before she worked for Foundation 33, she studied graphic design and worked in different countries; Sint-Lukas in Brussels, Belgium, The Universidad de Bellas Artes in Granada, Spain and Jan van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht, Holland. 

She has given workshops at Beckmans College Stockholm; Ecole des Beaux Arts, Lyon; Ecole de Recherche Graphique, Brussels; deSingel - the International Arts Centre of Flanders, Antwerp; Jan van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht and Laus Symposium, Barcelona. She teaches at the Royal College of Art and co-curated The Form of the Book conference at St Bride Library in January 2009. 

Amongst many other designs, she created a stripy t-shirt and poster print for the fantastic Manchester-based art band Die Kunst, an exhibition catalogue for the V&A Museum show Out of the Ordinary: Spectacular Craft and a logo and advertising campaign for the reality TV programme Big Brother 4 and Celebrity Big Brother. She published the book The Master Builder where she interviewed Ken Briggs, designer of posters and programme brochures for the National Theatre in the 1960s and 1970s. 

This award-winning graphic designer will share insights into her collaborative practice working with different visual and mixed media artists.
