Sophie Jerram & Mark Amery

Sophie Jerram and Mark Amery speak on their project Letting Space which seeks to transform the relationship between artists, the public and their environments to enable social change. Founded by curators Mark and Sophie, they work with artists to create temporary public artwork designed to increase the public commons and empower artists to be courageous agents of change. At Spark they will discuss their ethos and the eleven unique major public art projects they have created in Wellington, Auckland and Taupo in the last three years. Letting Space treats art as part of the social fabric, rather than as an afterthought, providing impetus for change in our cities and communities.
