The Art/Work of Curating

The Art/Work of Curating

Join Julianne PierceDeborah Lawler-Dormer and Jennifer Gillam - three internationally recognised curators and artists - at a workshop discussion about their particular approaches to the art/work of curation. Exploring their individual approaches is a great way to expand your own professional practice in curation, offer inspiration for new avenues of production, or the discussion may just help you to gain an understanding of what curation is all about.

Julianne Pierce has worked in the Australian and international cultural sector for over 25 years. She is a Creative Producer and Consultant with a background in curating, writing, producing and arts management, specialising in digital and media arts. Julianne has just been appointed the Creative Producer of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Deborah Lawler-Dormer has been a curator, director and researcher for many years developing large projects seen within New Zealand and internationally. Deborah was part of the team who developed CoLab, an interdisciplinary research unit at AUT and was executive director of MIC Toi Rerehiko for 16 years.
